i had a ford escort Mk I 1100
it was canary yellow with a painted white stripe down the front, sports steering wheel and fog lights to look like a rally car

I got it in 1985 so already 15 years old then.
White with an extensive rust motif.
Soft top with gaffa tape strips down the side keeping the rain out (a bit).
Cost me £25 to buy. Many £100's more to keep moving (occasionally). Had to send off for parts to Italy sometimes as none here.
When it finally died, I literally could not give it away.
Have had company cars since 1988.

Had alloys which along with an engine was my main concern.
I put some 6x9s and a Sony headunit in (which was subsiquently stolen).
Turned out that it was actually a Cat D write off so I quickly got rid.

1989 Toyota Corolla FX-GT.
ROH ZS mags, new Philips head unit, 6 x Phillips 6x9's, tweeters and an 18" Rockford Fosgate sub in the boot.
Spent more putting all that in than the car cost.
Then spent more on foam and stuff to stop all the rattles caused by the stereo.
Great car that was.
